MnDOT updates Hwy 2/Floodwood project scope
DULUTH, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation has updated the scope of the Hwy 2 project near Floodwood, and it will no longer include a detour.
The project will be a mill and overlay, which can be constructed under traffic and therefore not include detours. The western portion of the project – from the Hwy 200 intersection to Ash Street – will be completed in 2024. The eastern portion – from the Hwy 73 intersection to Maki Road – is not yet funded but could be as early as 2025.
A brief presentation and more information are posted on the project website at mndot.gov/d1/projects/hwy-2-floodwood/.
