Public open house April 17 for Highway 14/Highland Avenue roundabout project in New Ulm

MANKATO, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the public to attend an open house on Wednesday, April 17 from 3:30 to 5:00 pm at the New Ulm Municipal Airport, 1617 Highway 14, to learn about the upcoming Highway 14/Highland Avenue roundabout project in New Ulm and prepare for construction expected to begin in early May. There is no formal presentation planned, and attendees are welcome to arrive anytime.
Staff from MnDOT and the contractor will be present at the open house to provide more information about the project and answer questions.

The project includes constructing a single-lane roundabout at Highway 14/Highland Avenue, new sidewalk and trail to connect to existing locations, and lighting. Construction on the project is expected to begin in early May and continue until early July, weather permitting. Traffic will be detoured during construction. M. R. Paving & Excavating, Inc. was awarded the project with a bid of $2,265,772.52.
