I-35 Atkinson Bridge lane closures start April 22

DULUTH, Minn. –The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be starting work on I-35 at the Atkinson Bridge starting on April 22. The Atkinson bridge crosses Carlton County Road 61 about three miles south of Highway 210. The week of April 22, motorists can expect single lane closures on northbound I-35 to install guardrail in preparation for the project.

I-35 traffic is expected to shift to single lane head-to-head traffic starting on May 1 and last through September. Further communication will be provided once dates are confirmed.
