Hwy 24 repair project completed
Detour to be removed today
WILLMAR, Minn. – Concrete repairs on the Highway 24 project in Meeker County have been completed and the detour will be removed by the end of today, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Crews repaired and smoothed the pavement on four major sections and several smaller sections of concrete along Highway 24, from Highway 12 in Litchfield to Highway 15 north of Kingston.
Project benefits and cost
Benefits of the project include an improved road surface for a smoother ride, reduced maintenance costs, and extended pavement life. PCiRoads, LLC, was the contractor, and the project cost was approximately $812,000.
