Overview
Limousine operators and drivers have a responsibility to follow state and federal regulations, keep their passengers safe, and to keep their vehicles both clean and mechanically sound.
MnDOT is committed to ensuring limousine operators meet safety requirements, with the goal of having all passengers reach their destination safely.
New limousine rules
- On Dec. 22, 2025, changes to Minnesota Rules, Chapter 8880, will become effective. These rules were published to the Minnesota Revisor's Office website on Dec. 15, 2025. Learn more here.
