About this 2024 project

Resurface and improve 12 miles of Hwy 23 from Milaca to east of Ogilvie, which includes shoulders, underground drainage structures and updates to access. Detour Milaca to Bock: lifts Fri, Sept. 13.

Summary of work

  • Resurface (asphalt) road and shoulders
  • Update access:
    • Realign 100th Ave./Mille Lacs Co. Rd. 101 east of Milaca and install left turn lanes on Hwy 23
    • Install left turn lanes on Hwy 23 at 90th Ave./Mille Lacs Co. Rd. 144
  • Replace three drainage structures:
    • Pipe between 78th Ave. and 165th St., west of Bock
    • Box bridge east of Cable St./Kanabec Co. Rd. 52, east of Bock
    • Box bridge at South Fork Groundhouse River between 50th Ave. and Bear St., east of Bock
