2024 area roadwork

Hwy 25—Crow Wing County

Sept. 12 through early October

  • Work: Mill and pave a new layer of road surface from south of the railroad bridge in Brainerd to the Crow Wing County/Morrison County line at 273rd St.
  • Impacts: Alternate one way one-lane traffic with flaggers and use of a pilot car. Work will be done in segments, so expect the work area to change and move. Plan for slow or stopped traffic and reduced speeds.

  • Work schedule: Mon–Sat, sunrise to sunset, on good weather days

Note in Brainerd: Hwy 25 and Hwy 18 intersection to be done in future Hwy 18 project. Hwy 25 and Hwy 210 intersection to be done in future Hwy 210 Brainerd project.

About this project

MnDOT will resurface 14 miles of Hwy 25 north and south of Pierz and replace three bridges over waterways in Morrison County. Project requires detour.

Summary of work

  • Resurface road and shoulders:
    • Morrison/Crow Wing County line at 175th St. to north of Pierz
    • South junction Hwy 27 at Pierz/Genola to 123rd St. south of Genola
  • Replace three bridges (box culverts) over Platte River and Wolf Creek
  • Update guardrail
  • Install road markings and rumble strips
