Replace the Hwy 200 bridge over the Willow River, just southeast of Hwy 6 in Remer, Cass County, through October. Crews will:

  • Replace with a double-box bridge structure
  • Resurface road approaches
  • Update shoulder barriers/railing and ditch slope
  • Install fresh road marks

Truck and through traffic detour

Hwy 200 closed at the bridge. Detour uses Hwy 6 in Remer to Hwy 2 south of Deer River, then back to Hwy 200 south of Wawina (entire route 58 miles). Detour map (PNG)

  • Semi-trailer trucks must use the truck detour or seek other routes.
    • Bridge closed and restricted to trucks over 40 feet long or with a 9-ton axle weight.
    • Consider these mid-point alternatives:
      • Hwy 169 from Grand Rapids to Hill City
      • Hwy 65 from Swan River to Highway 200
  • Through travelers, especially those with larger recreational vehicles or trailers, should use the truck detour or another route
