About this project

In 2025, MnDOT will make safety, traffic flow and signal improvements to Highway 60 in Windom between John Caldwell Drive and the Des Moines River Bridge.
MnDOT is proposing a 3-lane configuration, consisting of one through lane in each direction and a center left turn lane. This pilot project is based on a preferred option from the 2019-2020 Highway 60 Windom Corridor Study.
Summary of work
- Signal replacement and ADA upgrades at 6th and 10th Streets
- Restriping and pavement preservation for the entire project corridor
Goals
- Replace deteriorating traffic signals
- Provide safer crossings at intersections for pedestrians and bicyclists
