MnDOT to host a public meeting for the Hwy 61 study in St. Paul
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The community is invited to attend a public meeting hosted by the Minnesota Department of Transportation to learn about proposed ideas for improvements for Highway 61 from I-94 to Lower Afton Road in St. Paul using community and stakeholder input provided in 2023.
The meeting will be held in person on Thursday, June 27 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Battle Creek Recreation Center, 75 Winthrop Street South, St. Paul. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the proposed ideas for improvements and share their feedback with the study team. There will be a presentation at 5:45 p.m. and information available throughout the meeting. The public is invited to stop by anytime.
If members of the public are unable to attend the meeting, they can provide feedback on some of the proposed ideas using an online survey available on the study webpage until Sunday, July 14. For more information about this study, or to sign up for email updates, visit mndot.gov/metro/projects/hwy61stpaul.
MnDOT started the study in June of 2023 to determine what safety, mobility, and accessibility improvements are needed to support the ways people need and want to travel along and across Highway 61. These improvements will be considered for the resurfacing project in 2027.
MnDOT invites and encourages participation by all. If you need an ASL, foreign language interpreter, or other reasonable accommodation, or need documents in an alternative format (such as braille or large print), please email your request to ADArequest@state.mn.us or call 651-366-4720.
