MnDOT & WisDOT to host June 25 public meeting for the Highway 243/Osceola Bridge Project

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The Minnesota and Wisconsin Departments of Transportation are holding an in person public meeting on June 25 to share the new bridge design for the Highway 243/Osceola Bridge. The bridge carries motorists over the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway.

The public meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 25 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the large instruction room at Osceola High School, 1111 Oak Ridge Dr, Osceola, WI. More information can be found on the project website.

Attendees will see bridge design images, get an update on the construction timeline, and have the opportunity to ask the project team questions and provide feedback. There will be a project overview presentation at 5 p.m.

The purpose of the Hwy 243/Osceola Bridge project is to maintain a reliable highway connection over the St. Croix River for Hwy 243 between Washington/Chisago counties in Minnesota and the Village of Osceola and Polk County in Wisconsin. The project team will work with federal, state, and local interests to minimize project impacts to the St Croix River and other natural resources in the area.
