UPDATE: Highway 14 near Lamberton closes due to flooding
WILLMAR, Minn. – (6:45 p.m.) The Minnesota Department of Transportation has closed Highway 14 east of Lamberton, between Impala Avenue and Jade Avenue due to flooding. Drivers are asked to follow the posted detour overnight and until water levels recede and it is safe to reopen the roadway.
A summary of state highways that have or have had water on the roadway in southwest Minnesota follows.
- CLOSED: Highway 14, east of Lamberton, between Impala Avenue and Jade Avenue.
- Highway 30 between Dovray and Westbrook: water on the roadway, slow down and use caution.
- Highway 14, west side of Tyler: water on the roadway, slow down and use caution.
- Highway 59, south of Marshall, southbound lane: water has receded.
- Highway 91 in Chandler: water has receded.
Crews continue to monitor road conditions throughout southwest Minnesota and warn that these or additional roads may be closed or restricted without warning.
