UPDATE: Highway 30 reopens; flooding updates in southwest MN
WILLMAR, Minn. – (3:30 p.m.) The Minnesota Department of Transportation has reopened Highway 30 from Dovray to Westbrook. It has been closed since June 21 due to flooding. There is still water on the roadway and travelers are asked to slow down and use caution in the area.
An updated status of state highways that have or have had water on the roadway in southwest Minnesota follows.
- Highway 14, east of Lamberton, between Impala Avenue and Jade Avenue: water on the roadway, slow down and use caution. If waters continue to rise, the roadway may be closed later today.
- Highway 30 between Dovray and Westbrook: water on the roadway, slow down and use caution.
- Highway 14, west side of Tyler: water on the roadway, slow down and use caution.
- Highway 59, south of Marshall, southbound lane: water has receded
- Highway 91 in Chandler: water has receded
Crews continue to monitor road conditions throughout southwest Minnesota and warn that these or additional roads may be closed or restricted without warning.
