I-35 southbound ramp at Lake Avenue in Duluth closure extended

DULUTH, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be extending the closure of the I-35 southbound exit 256B Lake Avenue/5th Avenue West through Tuesday, August 6. More concrete work needs to occur before the exit can be reopened.

The following ramps to and from I-35 remain closed through September 7:

I-35 northbound off-ramp to Lake Avenue bridge
I-35 southbound off-ramp to Lake Avenue bridge
I-35 southbound on-ramp from Lake Avenue bridge
I-35 northbound on-ramp from Lake Avenue bridge
I-35 northbound on-ramp from Michigan Street

The ramps will reopen as soon as possible, and detour signage is posted. Lanes will continue to be closed on I-35 northbound and southbound between 5th Avenue West and 13th Avenue East (north termini of tunnels).
