Hwy 2 pavement work near Floodwood starts Aug. 12
DULUTH, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be starting pavement construction on Highway 2 near Floodwood on August 12. This project is a bituminous mill and overlay of the highway between Hwy 200 and Co. Rd. 845/Maki Road. No work will take place in the City of Floodwood between Ash Street and Hwy 73.
Motorists can expect lane closures, flaggers, and use of a pilot car during operations. Work is expected to be complete by mid-October. Construction staff recorded a video update about the upcoming work that can be viewed on the project website.
