Lane closures on Hwy 10 in Randall begin Aug. 12
BAXTER, Minn. – Those who travel on both directions of Highway 10 in Randall will encounter lane closures and access changes as roadwork begins Monday, Aug. 12, advises the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The $2.6 million project will improve access and safety along hwy 10 through Randall, which includes two new J-turn intersections at Morrison Co. Rd. 14 and Hwy 115.
Here’s what to expect Aug. 12 until late October:
- Highway 10: Single-lane closures on both directions, 24/7, with reduced speeds between County Road 14 and Highway 115
- Local access changes: Access will be maintained for those who live, work or visit Randall; however, expect changes as crews work at each intersection. If one Hwy 10 median crossover is closed, follow signs and continue to the next open median to make a U-turn.
J-turns, also known as reduced conflict intersections, are driving movements proven to reduce serious and fatal crashes caused by T-bone crashes at intersections. When using J-turns, drivers focus on one direction of traffic at a time.
Anderson Brothers, Brainerd, is the prime contractor for the project that will improve safety, traffic flow and local access on Hwy 10 through Randall.
