Highway 14 and Highland Avenue roundabout in New Ulm opens August 9
MANKATO, Minn. – Construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Highway 14 and Highland Avenue in New Ulm is nearly complete, and the detour is expected to be removed by Friday evening, August 9, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Traffic has been detoured since May 20 for construction of the single-lane roundabout. The project also included new sidewalk and trail to connect to existing locations, and lighting.
Benefits of the project include improved traffic flow and enhanced safety for motorists and pedestrians.
M. R. Paving & Excavating, Inc. was awarded the project with a bid of $2,265,772.52.
