Rescheduled: Crews to begin Highway 13 shoulder project on Aug. 19
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The Highway 13 lane closures that were scheduled to begin next week have been rescheduled to Aug. 19, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Beginning at 9 a.m., Monday, Aug. 19, crews will intermittently close portions of one eastbound Highway 13 lane between Dakota Avenue and Interstate 35W. When the work is finished on the eastbound Highway 13 lanes, crews will move to westbound Highway 13, where they will also intermittently close portions of one lane between I-35W and Dakota Avenue. The lane closures are necessary to make improvements to the road’s shoulder.
Workers will also temporarily close the eastbound Highway 13 to southbound I-35W ramp and the southbound I-35W to westbound Highway 13 ramp. Crews will not schedule the ramp closures during rush hours from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m., or 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Crews will work 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the eastbound lanes and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the westbound lanes, installing 28 concrete storm drains and 21 bus lane signs.
The project is scheduled for completion on Aug. 31, weather permitting.
All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change.
