Work begins Aug. 12 on new Hwy 67/old County Road 2

WILLMAR, Minn. – Work to install guardrail, rumble strips and ground-in wet reflective striping on new Highway 67 / old County Road 2 begins Monday, Aug. 12, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Rumble strips and striping work will take place from Wood Lake to where Highway 67 turns south toward Echo. Crews will install erosion control and concrete curbing along with the new guardrail at the bridge over Wood Lake Creek, east of Wood Lake. Culverts near the bridge will also be replaced.

Work is expected to be completed in mid-September.

Traffic impacts

Travelers will encounter occasional lane closures and flaggers near Wood Lake Creek. Be alert for workers and heavy equipment entering and exiting the roadway. The installation of rumble strips and striping is a moving operation and will be done under traffic. Brief delays can be expected along Highway 67 during the project, allow extra travel time.
