Hwy 19 west of Henderson closed beginning Aug. 26 for culvert repairs
Crews to repair flood-damaged culvert
MANKATO, Minn. – Highway 19 just west of Henderson will be closed for several days as crews make permanent repairs to a flood-damaged culvert, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Temporary repairs to the culvert were made immediately after it was damaged by flooding in late June. Permanent repairs to the culvert will include replacement of the culvert liner and placement of rip-rap (rocks) for erosion control, requiring the temporarily closure of the highway.
Motorists should find alternate routes until the completion of the project around August 29, weather permitting.
All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to be attentive and drive with caution in work zones where workers are present.
