Traffic signal replacement project begins Aug. 30 in East Grand Forks
BEMIDJI, Minn. – Motorists traveling on Highway 2B in East Grand Forks will encounter traffic impacts at Demers Avenue beginning Aug. 30 as crews make improvements to the intersection and traffic signals, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
This work will replace an older traffic signal in East Grand Forks. Americans with Disabilities Act improvements and changes to vehicle turning and through movements will also be made to increase intersection safety. It is expected work will be complete in late September.
The contractor for the $715,000 project is Ti-Zack Concrete, LLC.. The project will be completed under traffic, and flaggers will guide motorists through the single-lane construction zone. Truck traffic is encouraged to use an alternate route.

- Obey posted speed limits. Fine for a violation in a work zone is $300.
