MnDOT to reopen Hwy 19 west of Henderson by noon today

MANKATO, Minn. – Permanent repairs to the flood-damaged culvert on Highway 19 just west of Henderson are nearly complete and the highway is expected to open to traffic by 12 p.m. today, August 27, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The highway has been closed to traffic since Monday, August 26. Repairs include replacement of the culvert liner and placement of rip-rap (rocks) for erosion control. Originally expected to be complete on August 29, the repairs were finished earlier than anticipated.
