Public meetings set Sept. 10 for Highway 371 and Highway 210 intersection improvement project in Baxter
Baxter, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the traveling public, area residents and businesses to attend a public meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 10 to learn about the Highway 371 and Highway 210 intersection improvement project in Baxter. Attendees will learn about potential design concepts and be able to share feedback with project staff.
Two meetings will be held that day at the MnDOT office in Baxter at 7694 Industrial Park Rd. S:
- Business meeting: 1–2:30 p.m.
- Public meeting: 4–6 p.m.
The meetings are open house-style and people may come and go at their convenience. There will be no formal presentation.
The project will identify, prioritize and select a preliminary design. This will be done by considering existing and future demographics, land use, development, transportation needs and safety data. Planning and design are expected to continue through 2027, and construction is anticipated to begin in 2028. When complete, the project will improve access, safety and traffic flow through the Brainerd Lakes area.
