Highway 20 sidewalk, lane closures in Cannon Falls start Oct. 7
CANNON FALLS, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation announces a series of temporary sidewalk and lane closures for road improvements and Americans with Disabilities Act compliance along Highway 20/4th Street North and extending from Highway 19 to River Road.
Beginning Monday, Oct. 7 through November 2024, crews will work on sidewalk improvements, pedestrian ramps for ADA compliance, and street surface improvements. The project will occur in phases, starting with sidewalk improvements, followed by pedestrian ramp upgrades, and concluding with street resurfacing and striping.
Pedestrian detours and lane closures will be in place during weekdays while work is in progress to ensure safety and facilitate the construction.
All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change. If weather does prohibit the completion of this project, it will be finished spring 2025.
