Emergency repairs, resurfacing on Highway 5/West 7th Street in St. Paul rescheduled for Monday, November 11

ROSEVILLE, Minn. —. – Due to inclement weather, the Minnesota Department of Transportation cancelled and has rescheduled emergency repairs and resurfacing on Highway 5/West 7th Street between Davern Street and Wheeler Street in St. Paul. The work, originally scheduled earlier this week on Tuesday, will now be done on Monday, Nov. 11 from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. During the work, maintenance crews will restrict traffic to a single lane in each direction. At the same time, the traffic signals at the intersection of Highway 5/West 7th Street will be in flashing red mode and controlled by flaggers.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes to avoid congestion or delays.

The emergency work is in advance of two projects to improve safety and mobility on the highway between Munster Ave. and St. Clair Ave. in 2028 and between St. Clair Ave. and Olive St. in 2029.
