I-35 southbound ramps at Highway 48 in Hinckley to close July 7
DULUTH, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be closing the I-35 southbound ramps at Highway 48 in Hinckley starting the morning of July 7. Southbound I-35 traffic to Highway 48 will be detoured at exit 191 and routed to Pine County Road 61 to Highway 48. Highway 48 traffic to southbound I-35 will be detoured west to Pine County Road 61 to Highway 23 and on to southbound I35 at exit 180. The ramps are expected to reopen on July 30.
These closures are necessary to reconstruct the ramps as part of the bridge replacement and pavement resurfacing project. Construction will last through the fall. Motorists can expect delays during peak travel times.
