Be alert for pavement preservation crews in northwest Minnesota beginning August 4
Motorists will see short-term lane closures, delays, and flagger operations
BEMIDJI, Minn. —The Minnesota Department of Transportation will begin a one-month pavement preservation project on the following Hwys beginning August 4:
- Hwy 1: Red Lake Reservation line to Hwy 72 (Busy Corner)
- Hwy 71: Blackduck to Big Falls
- Hwy 72: Beltrami County line to Lake of the Woods CR 1
Work will take place under traffic and a detour will not be required. Motorists, however, should expect lane closures, delays, and turn-lane restrictions.
Drivers are asked to slow down in the work zone, watch for flaggers, and be alert for workers and equipment.
The project is expected to be complete in late-August. Construction activities are weather dependent and subject to change.
