Westbound I-494 in Bloomington, Richfield to close nightly March 9-14 to install lighting

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists traveling westbound on Interstate 494 in Bloomington and Richfield will encounter an overnight detour March 9-14 while crews install high mast lighting to illuminate the corridor, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.   
Westbound I-494 between I-35W and Highway 100 will close nightly starting Monday, March 9 through Saturday, March 14, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. All westbound I-494 ramps in the area also will be closed.

Motorists will be detoured to northbound I-35W, westbound Highway 62, southbound Hwy 100 and westbound I-494.

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather and schedule permitting and subject to change.
MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, and slow down in work zones where workers are present.
