MnDOT to host public open house May 5 in Klossner for Fort Road roundabouts project
MANKATO, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the public to attend a construction open house on Tuesday, May 5 from 4 to 6 p.m. in Klossner to learn about the upcoming Fort Road roundabouts project.
The open house will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Lafayette Township Hall, 57738 Fort Road, New Ulm (in Klossner). There will be no formal presentation, and people are welcome to stop by at their convenience during the open house. Staff from MnDOT and the contractor will be available to answer questions about the project, construction timelines, and detour routes.

- Highway 111/Fort Road, north of Nicollet
Funding to construct the two roundabouts was awarded from the High Risk Rural Roads program to improve safety at rural highway intersections.
Preliminary tree clearing is expected to begin in early May with minimal traffic impacts. Construction is expected to begin in mid-May with traffic detoured during construction.
