Mora Fly-In

This is an event for the entire family, with free gifts for youth and adults. Admission is free.

Scheduled activities:

  • The event will open with the Presentation of Colors by the American Legion Club of Mora at 8 a.m.
  • The Mora Lions Club will be serving an all-you-can eat pancake breakfast for $8 per person with Pilots in Command eating for free. All proceeds will go to the Mora Lions Club to support community-based projects and donations.
  • A paper airplane contest is scheduled at 10 a.m. The contest is open to all ages; however, prizes will be awarded to the youth (age 17 or under) with the winning paper airplane flight.

    Other attractions and details:
  • Hawk Aviation will be offering airplane rides for $45 per person.
  • This year’s event will again include a static tractor display. All tractor owners are encouraged to bring their equipment to the event. Airport equipment will also be on display.
  • All pilots will receive a 10ยข discount on aviation fuel on the day of the event.
  • This event is scheduled rain or shine.

    The Mora Fly-In is brought to you by the City of Mora and its Airport Advisory Board, with support from Kwik Trip, Mora Lions Club, Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc., Blaze Credit Union, Federated Co-Op, and the local aviation community. Girls in Aviation Day

Join the Stars of the North for our annual Girls in Aviation Day-a free event for youth to learn about career opportunities in aviation and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Exhibitors from airlines, the military, universities, flight schools, pilots, engineers, and many professionals will showcase aviation careers. The event is geared toward girls ages 8-17; however, everyone is welcome. Girls in Aviation Day encourages female participation in STEM and aviation-related careers. Join us for breakfast, static aircraft displays, classic car parade, airplane rides and fun, as the ridges above Lake Superior display their brilliant maple leaves in reds and oranges. $10 adults, $5 children under 14. All profits go to support the non-profit 501(c)(3) Eagles organization whose mission is to support the airport and flying access in our community with an annual aviation scholarship. Wings of the North is hosting their fall pancake breakfast today. Please enter through Gate H on the northwest corner of Flying Cloud Airport. Pancakes, sausage, coffee, and juice. $25 for families (2 adults & 2 kids). $10 per adult and kids age 12 and up; $5 per kid ages 6 through 11; kids age 5 and under are free.
