Drop in and learn about this future Hwy 27 project in Wahkon. You'll be able to view design layouts and provide feedback on proposed landscaping and street furniture within the boulevard.

Guests may arrive and leave at their convenience. If rainy weather, event will move indoors at City Hall.

About this project

MnDOT will reconstruct and improve Hwy 27 (Main St.) from east of Chippewa Ave. to east of Fourth St. W in Wahkon, Mille Lacs County. Work is scheduled for 2026 and requires a detour.

  • Install curb and gutter and add underground storm sewer
  • Add or update sidewalks and pedestrian approaches
  • Add bike lanes along both sides of road
