Eastbound Interstate 94 to North 4th Street ramp closure in Minneapolis begins August 15
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Beginning on Thursday, Aug. 15, the Minnesota Department of Transportation will close the ramp from eastbound Interstate 94 to North 4th Street in downtown Minneapolis through early October. While this closure is in place, motorists can use eastbound I-94 to Lyndale Ave. to southbound 7th Street to eastbound 1st Avenue as a detour.
Starting on Tuesday, Sept. 3 through early October, MnDOT will close the ramp from North 3rd Street to westbound I-94 through early October. Motorists can use eastbound 2nd Avenue to northbound Washington Avenue to the 22nd Avenue ramp to westbound I-94 as a detour during this closure.
MnDOT will be working under the North 3rd Street and North 4th Street ramps to repair bridge piers and replace some existing lighting with LED lighting.
All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather and schedule permitting and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, and slowdown in work zones where workers are present.
